Lookbook shot!

My favorite shot from a lookbook photoshoot I did yesterday! More to come!

Todays outfit was inspired by Rhianna's outfit at the 2013 Grammys when she performed with Bruno Mars. The second I saw this outfit on television I fell in love with the lengths of the crop top paired with a maxi skirt. My outfit was all black and cotton, more appropriate for everyday wear, paired with a gold necklace and belt to add detail to the look! I would've loved to rock the beading and glamour of her look though!

All neutral, as always! I have been dying to take out my white pants, and I couldn't wait until labor day. I added a khaki trench to make them a little more "current"!

2013 Oscar Red Carpet

Loving so many of the looks on the red carpet tonight! Here are a few of my favorites!

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior, the back necklace is very cool! The shape of this dress is amazing for her, she looks like a queen!

Reese Witherspoon in cobalt blue and black, such a beautiful combination! Wouldn't have expected this for her but I love it, I just wish it was better tailored around her hips!

Jennifer Aniston in an unexpected full skirt, love this dress for her! I wish she would've done her hair up for a more exposed neckline.

A very mature choice for Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen (what a combo)! Her hair looks amazing and I love the detailing on the dress. Great choice!

And the Oscar goes to...

Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture and Harry Winston, absolute perfection. All of it. The hair, the dress, the jewelry, she wins.

Holiday Flashback

Neon is back again this spring! This year they seemed to be paired with neutrals rather than the all out neon, it is shown as a pop!

This trend reminded me of a look I put together for a style event last spring! Looks like I will be able to pull this look out again this year! Try the top with a white lace short like the one picture above, or a khaki short. The skirt with a sheer black top and white blazer! Add a statement necklace to both looks for the perfect spring 2013 look!

Monochromatic is a trend that has been popular throughout the year, it was especially a favorite of mine from the spring 2013 RTW collections! I loved how the designers used neutral color combinations to create a monochromatic look. Here are a few of my favorites, and how my own take on this look!
